How do I do it? Find out here

Sometimes it is just so much easier to look at a picture and compete a job in your garden don’t you think? It’s like being shown rather than just reading.

Many of us are visual learners, that’s why we appreciate beautiful gardens and learn well from pictures like the step by-step guides in recipe books.

Some of us are auditory learners and are happy with a story to tell us the what, where, when and how.

I found many of my students at TAFE in horticulture benefited from practicing the new skills.

But, researchers and teachers recognise that most of us need a combination of all the literacies mentioned above in order to really learn. The workshops I run are designed to capture auditory, visual and practical skills development.I know that you may not always be able to get to a workshop though.

So, take a look at these sketches and picture stories to find out ‘how-to’ in your garden. You may print them off to take outside too.
